Fran is a retired Mathematics Educator having taught elementary through college-level courses in Colorado and West Virginia, her home state. Fran also worked at the district level in Jefferson County, Colorado as well as at the state level where she was a Principal Investigator and Project Director for National Science Foundation grants focused on Standards-Based Education and mathematics curriculum implementation. She is the former Treasurer of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.


Fran currently serves on the Board of the St. Francis Center (SFC), a day shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness. In addition to basic services, SFC provides housing options, employment services, and a street outreach program. Fran has volunteered with Project Angel Heart (PAH) for 28 years as a meal delivery and shuttle driver. PAH provides medically tailored meals at no cost to individuals living with life-threatening illnesses. She is active in her church (Christ Episcopal in Denver) and serves in various lay ministry leadership positions.
