Cyndy recently retired from her position as a Full Professor in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. She is now a Research Professor investigating the quality of life issues among persons with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners, the placebo effect, and issues that may assist in determining characteristics of individuals who may be best candidates for future stem cell trials in Parkinson’s disease.


She has received grants from NIH for her research and was awarded a Fulbright fellowship to teach in Uganda, where she has traveled three times. She loves the country and the people of Uganda and is very pleased to support Patrick Lutalo and Teach Men to Fish in its mission to assist young people learn construction skills in order to support themselves and their families.
